Replica Tudor Jewelled Billiment embellishment for hoods and gowns

This is a ready made replica Tudor style jewelled billiment fully strung with pearls and ouches, for you to sew onto your own french hood or the front of a Tudor gown.

Biliment/billiment/habillement primarily refers to an ornamental or accessory part of historic or traditional attire, often used to describe elements such as trimmings, jewellery, and decorative items worn on clothing and headdresses.

For those of you who are making your own costume, this strip is perfect for adorning the upper billiment of a French hood, or sew on the placard of your gown. Similar billiments can be seen in Tudor and Elizabethan portraits.

14 ouches are strung with glass pearls and gold beads on a strong golden beading wire. To the back each ouch has button loop holes so it can be easily sewn on to your own piece. The strip measures 18 inches. The ouches can be made with small resin crystal squares in several colours to match your own make. Please choose from the drop down menu.
