Elizabeth Armada portrait 6 strands of pearls

This is my replica of the 6 strands of grey pearls worn by Elizabeth 1st in the Armada Portrait.

The Armada Portrait is an allegorical panel painting depicting the Tudor queen surrounded by symbols of royal majesty against a backdrop representing the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588.

The strands of pearls are a simple design but add to the opulance of the outfit, if you are recreating this portrait for reenactment.

For this piece I have used grey/silver glass faux pearls in six graduated layers.

I also make a girdle belt and necklace/chain of office for this portrait.
