This is my replica of the chain of office/livery collar worn Charles VIII, called the Affable (French: l'Affable; 30 June 1470 – 7 April 1498), who was King of France from 1483 to his death in 1498. He succeeded his father Louis XI at the age of 13.
It is the pilgrim's scallop shell chain of office/livery collar also known as the Order of St Michael.
A scallop shell design with rope wheatsheaf connectors in antique gold, finished with a St Michael pendant. My replica is made with antique gold plating on brass.
This is a unique and hand crafted item. It measures approximately 1 metre with an extension chain so you can adjust it according to your costume.
Please allow me a few days to make your item, before allowing for shipping. Everything I make is hand crafted to order.
