This is my Replica of the Chain of Office worn by King Richard III of England in the historical portrait housed in the National Portrait Gallery'
Richard III (2 October 1452 – 22 August 1485) was King of England and Lord of Ireland from 26 June 1483 until his death in 1485. He was the last king of the House of York and the last of the Plantagenet dynasty. His defeat and death at the Battle of Bosworth Field, the last decisive battle of the Wars of the Roses, marked the end of the Middle Ages in England.
For this Chain of Office I have linked gold plated findings so that the Chain comfortably drapes across the shoulders. I have adorned filigree settings with ouches with a black square centre and faux pearls. There are also red oval crystals and the chain is finished to the back with a lobster clasp.
The chain measures 110 cm with some room for adjustment as there is an extension chain to the back. I also make a Richard III hat pin and ring.
The chain will come wrapped in my rose tissue paper and an organza gift bag.
