War Of The Roses Collection - Double sided Necklace - York and Lancaster

This hand crafted necklace represents the two feuding sides of the Cousin's War.

I have encased two images inside a 30 mm glass cabochon. On one side is the white York Rose, and on the other is the Lancaster red Rose. Pick a side and wear it any way you choose!

The rivalry between the House of Plantagenet's two cadet branches of York and Lancaster brought about the Wars of the Roses, a decades-long fight for the English succession, culminating in the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485, when the reign of the Plantagenets and the English Middle Ages both met their end with the death of King Richard III. Henry Tudor (7th) then married Elizabeth of York and the Tudor rose was formed, a combination of the white and red roses.

The setting is an antique bronze circle pendant with an ornate bail. Choose from an 18, 20 or 24 inch belcher chain.
